Finding Contentment
Shall we contemplate our mortality? Our very existence here? What
is it we all want? What do we hold most dear?
Riches are not the zest of life. Allow them not your soul to hold; But
love, on the other hand, Is worth more than precious jewels or gold.
Without the warmness of sweet embraces, Be
it lover or be it friend, We might as well be left for dead, And to depths of hell our life we send.
Don’t
let pride or prejudice Be the ruler of your heart. Nothing leads more quickly, To the path where you both will part.
Only
heartache lies down that trail, Loneliness of self and shame. Pick your battles wisely, Don’t let your judgment
blame.
Apologies to be made and accepted, For the wrongs we can make right. For peace in love, is a far better
thing, Than to stand your ground and fight.
Understanding should be our lofty goal. So stretch out your reach
to touch; Finding harmony of mind and heart, To your sanity can mean so much.

Hi Everyone
!! My name is Tonya. I live in Oklahoma USA. From time to time I write some
poetry, just a hobby I have. Within the world of poetry, I have met some fantastic people. Some have even been
published authors. Others have become very special friends.
A few rules to live by...... Live life to it's fullest...... never leave behind a "what if i had............"
(Just do it!!) Enjoy all the beauty that surrounds you. Be yourself and take care of your fellow human beings. Everything
else falls into it's own place.
Hunger
.....a nourishment of
life
A gnawing hunger begins to build But for this appetite there is no sustenance The nourishment that would
quench this void is unavailable Leaving me to starve till one day I will be but an empty shell And like a rare and exquisite
delicacy You will be only a memory upon my lips.

Welcome to my site. I was raised in Oklahoma, USA! I have found a love for writing and would like to share the things I see. I think to understand fully though you need to see where these thoughts have come
from. Most everything in life has something positive in it. The bad, should make us cherish the good things even more. There
are so many beautiful things and people!! Don’t be afraid to reach out
to them, chances are, they are reaching out too. I believe with all my heart we should enjoy all the wonderful splendid things
to be found.
My life, like everyone else’s, has been a series of events and people that have helped
to shape it into what it is. I would hope, each of us, through our own unique
experiences will at least try to relate to one another and find comfort that we are not alone in the things we feel and understand;
that our perceptions are not so very different from others. By sharing our personal thoughts and ideas, perhaps we can give
each other the encouragement and support to know that we, as individuals are not and never will be truly alone. Even though no one has fully lived our exact life, there will be similarities. There will always be those that can empathize, celebrate with you, cry with you and appreciate you for
who you are.
With that said… I hope you will take pleasure in reading the words written here. Perhaps somewhere, in these pages, you will find something that makes you think, reflect or just appreciate,
as you read.
I would be remiss if I did not thank a very special person and dear friend for all the work he has
put into making this site and encouragement he has given to me. Thank you, Steve. You truly have a lovely soul and do not know the full extent of the treasures you
contain.

Pick One?
Fascination, no hesitation, Got to see what makes this tick! Music tearing, TV blaring, Daddy talking, brother
squawking, Which sound to listen to the first? Fan is spinning, she is grinning, Cars are speeding, people pleading, Dogs
a barking, wires are sparking, Head is dizzy, brain to busy…………
I think I’ll watch
my fingers work.
